Generating Quantifiable Leads for a Small Sales Staff

When a former client returned to GO, my team was charged with creating something Twin Oaks had never had before, trackable digital leads delivered to the sales team. We implemented a highly successful lead funnel that converts about 1-2 leads per week 3 years after launching. For a SaaS business with about 600 total clients, this regular influx of leads from search traffic and intermittent ad spend is a boon and allows the business to truly quantify the value of a lead to hone in on what defines marketing success. Further, we were able to automate the demo scheduling process freeing up time for the sales team to work on developing new business rather than tracking down messages and going back and forth with prospects.

What Was Learned?

Twin Oaks was GO’s first real Marketing Automation success story. We developed strategies of lead generation, reporting (lead quantifying), and funnel flows that have been adapted for many other clients. The biggest lessons learned were in budgeting out time and resources appropriately. As we dove into this client, we realized many of the budgets and timelines we were proposing were insufficient, and were able to adjust moving forward.
