Helping a small sales team make the most of its resources.

Siftex is a small manufacturing company. They create custom components for all types of machinery, industries, and facilities, and pride themselves on their ability to create the solution a company needs to make its manufacturing process work more smoothly. Their small sales team needs to be nimble enough to service almost any industry, and have the tools to provide leads with relevant marketing materials in a timely fashion. Our efforts focused on creating systems via email and automation to enable the sales team to close more business and connect with leads and clients.

My role on this team was to develop the strategy and email systems to help the sales staff achieve these goals. We started with this email template, and gradually worked our way into collecting user-generated content and feedback, as well as developing ‘smart mailers’ that allowed the sales team to send client sales materials from inside the CRM.

What Was Learned?

This was my first experience setting up and managing a CRM for a client. As we worked through the intricacies of Siftex’s business, I learned how to truly work in a client support role, adapting my normal focus on marketing communication towards sales funnel building, technical support, and analytics, while still delivering email marketing and occasional automation support.
